SCHOOL BOARD
The Como Primary School Board’s role is to work in partnership with the Principal to shape and review our strategic direction and priorities. The Principal and the School Board (through the Chairperson) enter into a Statement of Expectation with the Director General of Education to ensure delivery of educational programs to our school are in line with our Strategic Direction 2021-2023.
The School Board’s roles and relationship to the school administration are clearly outlined in the Terms of Reference.
It assists with:
- Developing & reviewing the school’s strategic direction
- Monitoring school performance
- Reviewing & approving aspects of the school budget and charges
- Establishing & reviewing the school’s objectives, priorities and general policy directions.
As ambassadors and advocates for the school, the School Board brings ideas, expertise and a community voice to support the Principal and to further our school’s ongoing improvement journey.
The School Board meets in Weeks 3 and 7 each term.
